39. Meeting Yourself on the Page: Why Journaling Changes Everything

This episode is all about journaling.

But more than that, it's about meeting yourself. On the page. In the moment. Without needing to have anything figured out.

Lately, I’ve been noticing how many people (coaching clients, friends, even folks who are all about self-betterment) feel real resistance to this practice. There’s a way we’ll pay a coach or a therapist to help us process, but we hesitate to just be with ourselves. And I get it.

But for me, journaling has been a lifeline. It’s how I return to myself again and again.

In this episode, I talk about:

  • What it really means to meet yourself on the page

  • Why you don't need to have anything profound to say in order to start

  • How journaling helps you feel clearer, calmer, and more grounded

  • Why keeping your thoughts in doesn’t make them disappear. It only means they stay trapped in your body

  • How this practice can shift your relationships, creativity, and clarity on what you want

Journaling isn’t about being precious or perfect. It’s about saying, "I matter enough to listen to."

If you’re worried you don't have time, I’ll just say this. You don’t have time not to.

You don’t need a fancy notebook. You don’t even need to write. In this episode, I share voice memo journaling, memory prompts, and other low-effort, high-impact ways to connect with yourself.

✍️ Books Mentioned:

  • The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron

  • The Book of Alchemy by Suleika Jaouad

Both are filled with writing prompts and reflections to support your practice.
